BMS ETO Entrance Exam (2025)

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for the online entrance exam and the subsequent selection process at Briton Marines Shipping, candidates must meet the following eligibility criteria:

Educational Qualifications

• Three-year Diploma in specified engineering fields with 60% marks, OR
• Four-year Degree in specified engineering fields with 50% marks, recognized by State/Central Government or AICTE, OR
• Passed 10+2 with PCM or equivalent vocational education and 50% marks in English.

Medical Requirements

• Physically fit for sea service under STCW 2010 norms and Medical Rule 2000.

Physical Standards

• Eyesight: Distance vision (unaided) 6/12 in each eye, or 6/9 in one eye and 6/18 in the other.
• Minimum Height: 157 cm
• Minimum Weight: 48 kg

Age Limit

The candidate should not be more than 26 years old on the date of course commencement.

Important Instructions

• Pre-Sea Training: Candidates who have completed or are undergoing pre-sea training are not eligible.
• Backlog Clearance: Candidates with pending backlogs are ineligible.
• Valid Passport: A valid Indian passport is required before course commencement.
• Unfair Means: Use of unfair means will lead to immediate disqualification.
• Test Fee: Rs. 1500/- (approx.) for the online test.
• Medical and Psychometric Test: Approximate cost is Rs. 6500/-, borne by the candidate.

Selection Process

1. Apply Online: Submit your application at britonmarine.com.
2. Online Examination: Eligible candidates will receive login credentials via email.
3. Personal Interview: Shortlisted candidates will attend an interview.
4. Medical Examination: Conducted by the company’s panel doctor.
5. Final Selection Notification: Communicated via email.
6. Seat Booking: Selected candidates pay a seat booking fee and submit documents.
7. Sponsorship Letter: Issued upon seat booking confirmation.

About the Online Entrance Test

The online exam consists of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) and will last for 2 hours.
